ECPI, the European Council for Plasticisers and Intermediates is pleased to learn that the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES) has issued its final conclusion on the evaluation of two plasticisers:
- Diethylhexyl-terephthalate (CAS number 6422-86-2) commonly known as DEHTP or DEHT or DOTP.
- DINCH (1,2-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid, diisononyl ester, CAS No. 166412-78-8)
In both cases, “no need to initiate further regulatory risk management action” is foreseen, according to ANSES whose outcome document is available on ECHA’s website (Links below).
In May 2015, ANSES had concluded that these plasticisers present ‘no danger or risk for health and the environment’. This toxicological analysis was performed under the REACH PACT- RMOA (Risk Management Options Analysis – Public Activities Communication Tool) in the context of the French Strategy for Endocrine Disruptors (SNPE).
