DINP, DIDP and DPHP - Safe for use - REACH Registered

High phthalate plasticisers DINP, DIDP and DPHP:
- • REACH registered with data well beyond REACH requirements (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006)
- • Not hazardous – no classification required for any safety, health or environmental effects under the new Classification, Packaging and Labelling Regulation (EC No 1272/2008)
- • Safe for use in all current applications*
- • Not on the REACH Candidate or Authorisation Lists (and do not meet the criteria for inclusion)
Retailers and brandholders:
- • Can continue to offer articles made with high phthalate plasticisers with the utmost confidence
- • Have no communication requirements under REACH for articles
- • Have no notification requirements under REACH for imported articles
REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation of Chemicals) is the EU Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006). Its purpose is to ensure a high level of protection of human health and the environment while enhancing competitiveness and innovation.
