Sebacates / Azelates

Common sebacates include Di-butyl sebacate (DBS) and Di-methyl sebacate. The most commonly used azelate is Di-isodecyl azelate which imparts low temperature performance even superior to adipates while offering lower volatility. The use of this type of plasticisers (US: plasticizers) is generally limited to extremely demanding low temperature flexibility specifications such as underground cable sheathing in arctic environments.
