The Plasticisers Information Centre is a European Plasticisers initiative, the Brussels-based trade association representing eight major companies producing plasticisers in Europe. European Plasticisers is a sector group within CEFIC, the European Chemical Industry Council.
As the voice of the European plasticisers industry, we provide evidence-based information on plasticisers and promote their use and benefits in everyday life. With decades of experience and a focus on science and safety, European Plasticisers provides valuable input to regulatory authorities, non-government organisations and consumer groups and is proactive in contributing and encouraging dialogue between these stakeholders. Our vision is to make plasticisers be recognised and appreciated for their sustainable and innovative contributions to everyday wellbeing in a responsible manner. Member companies are BASF,Deza, Evonik Performance Materials GmbH, ExxonMobil, Grupa Azoty, Lanxess and Perstorp. European Plasticisers is a sector group of Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council, which represents the interests of the European chemical industry.
Furthermore, European Plasticisers regularly conducts and commissions its own research projects and maintains constant contact with manufacturing companies that rely upon plasticisers for the production of everyday plastic items such as flooring, wall covering, cables, automotive parts, coated fabrics and medical devices.
European Plasticisers members are committed to the global chemical industry initiative ‘Responsible Care‘. European Plasticisers is also a founding member of VinylPlus, the European PVC industry sustainability initiative.
